Meeting with ENAC on RYANAIR situation
The meeting with ENAC (Italian CAA) with subject "RYANAIR situation", in the presence of the Central Departments on technical and administrative supervision, has just finished. ENAC confirmed that, also on the basis of the numerous reports received, it started a joint supervisory action with the Irish authority (IAA) on the operations of RYANAIR in the Italian bases. At the same time, it continues the inspection activities regarding passenger rights in conjunction with the antitrust authority. On our part, we have reaffirmed the need for an increased commitment in terms of vigilance. We raised the authority’s awareness on the working conditions of crews and their impact on operational fatigue and on safety of operations. Shortly we will issue a joint request to meet with the ministries of labor, transport, health and economy to enter into a table on the subjects of labour issues and the contractual and regulatory framework for crews of the Irish company.
